Nappy Cakes and Baby Showers originated in the USA and are now growing in popularity in the UK and Europe. A Nappy Cake or Diaper Cake as it was referred to appeared in an episode of Sex in the City. Nappies are one of the biggest expenses a new parent will have, but who would ever want to give a big bag of nappies as a gift? That's why nappy cakes are hugely popular. All our nappy cakes are handmade to order in a smoke free environment. The cake itself is shaped from pampers or huggies disposable nappies which have been hand rolled and formed into tiers. If you need a different size nappy in your cake please contact us for a quote. We can also create a nappy cake using Eco nappies please contact us for more information. Various baby items are hidden within or embellish the outside of the cake. The cake is placed on a board, wrapped in cellophane and decorated with your choice of coloured ribbons and die cut shapes. We then print the "recipe" for your individual cake with the name of the baby and date of birth & hang it from the cake. This is the perfect alternative to flowers for a new mum -

ARE NAPPY CAKES SAFE TO USE? Absolutely! Also, new speculation may see hospitals forbidding floral bouquets from their wards after reports suggesting that the water could potentially spill – causing an MRSA risk. This makes our gifts a practical and safe alternative! Also special care should be taken when handling artificial flowers as they contain wire that could potentially scratch the skin. All toys meet with UK and Irish standards. All dummies and bottles should be sterilised before use. Although the contants withing our cakes are completely safe we ask that diligence is exercised and small children and babies should not be given any packaging or components of our gifts. We accept no responsibily for any accident or harm caused by negligence or misuse of any product or packaging.

ARE YOUR BESPOKE CAKES MORE EXPENSIVE? Do you charge for this service? We don’t feel it is necessary to charge for this service as it is as much a way for us to channel our creativity as it is to give the customer what they are looking for. A bespoke cake doesn’t necessarily mean it will be more expensive. Bespoke could simply mean that you have a particular colour combination in mind. If you call or email us with your requirements and your budget we will work entirely with you to try to meet your specification.

DO YOU DELIVER? We can deliver to Galway hospital, offices or to the home of the recipient within the Gort area. If you require delivery outside of this area please call us and we may be able to organise a drop off point or courier service. We will ask you for the delivery address when you place your order and tell you the options available.
